Sunday, April 14, 2019 – April 21, 2019
While Holy Week is an intense and holy time in the Christian calendar, most people are unable to participate in a residential retreat. In response to this need, Bill Redfield will be leading a Virtual Holy Week Retreat this year, starting on Passion/Palm Sunday, April 14, and concluding on Easter Sunday morning, April 21.
There will be four daily components—three of which will be recorded and made available for participants to watch at any time. These components will include a morning meditation with periods of silence, a more substantial message with reflections, and an evening meditation. The final component will be an online daily lectio divina group using Zoom for those who are able to participate.
Note: There is no cost for this program. Participants will be able to determine the level of their own involvement.
The Rev. William Redfield retired in 2013 as rector of Trinity Church, Fayetteville, NY, after nearly 20 years. Besides being an Episcopal priest, he is also a licensed clinical social worker and has worked in private practice in Central New York and Maine. He has had a lifelong interest in the intersection of spirituality and the inner life. Bill was introduced to Centering Prayer by Cynthia Bourgeault over 25 years ago and has been an active student of, and collaborator with her for the last ten years.
The teacher and program leader at Wisdom’s Work and the creative force behind the birth of Wisdom House in Fayetteville, NY, Bill is also engaged in one-to-one Wisdom Mentoring (in person and virtual), Wisdom practice groups, and Wisdom Schools.
