The Contemplative Society

Based in Victoria, BC, Canada, The Contemplative Society provides programs and events for local Wisdom seekers as well as serving as a global website presence featuring numerous resources related to the contemplative Wisdom path, and Cynthia Bourgeault and her offerings:

The Contemplative Society is an inclusive non-profit association that encourages a deepening of contemplative prayer based in the Christian Wisdom tradition while also welcoming and being supportive of other meditation traditions.

The Society supports the work of Rev. Dr. Cynthia Bourgeault in her role of Principal Teacher and Advisor for The Contemplative Society and her vocation as a hermit and writer. We do so by sponsoring retreats, wisdom schools, and workshops led by Cynthia and other distinguished teachers of the Christian contemplative path, and through the sales of instructional and inspiration materials, in both textual and audio format, supportive of the contemplative life.

Audio Recordings on CDOn The Contemplative Society website you’ll find instructional and inspiration materials, in both text and audio format, supportive of the contemplative life.

The Contemplative Society oversees the audio ministry for Cynthia Bourgeault’s recorded teachings for purchase. You can find full details on audios for sale HERE.

A complete list of events offered by The Contemplative Society, as well as Cynthia Bourgeault’s full calendar of events can be found HERE.

  1. Is your site undergoing maintenance? I would like to order an audio tape, but I can’t get past your home page. “Page Not Found Error 404” keeps coming up. I have tried 3 different computers.
